Help Fund Julian Aristeo’s Knee Surgery

January 15, 2017

For those unaware, Julian Aristeo played on a juggernaut team known as the Guardians. As one third of one of the greatest bike polo teams to ever hit the court, Aristeo has been up and down the courts all over the world, and as a result, has been in need of ACL reconstruction surgery for quite some time.

To be honest, I’ve been sitting on sharing this for a while. I love Julian and I think he is a great player/person, but I was trying to shy away from sharing crowdfunding efforts on 3-2-1 Polo! I felt things were getting out of hand when World Hardcourt Bike Polo Championship was in Timaru, and people are trying to crowdfund month long vacations. After some thought, I feel that unlike bike polo vacations, bike polo related injuries are a just cause to share.

As we head into a year one President Trump, the Republicans in House and Senate are trying to gut the Affordable Care Act as fast as they can. Me, like many other bike polo players, have been relying on the ACA for cheap and affordable health insurance coverage. With many of us potentially losing health insurance, we should come together as a community to support each others health recovery.

Here is a link to where you can support Aristeo through his knee surgery recovery: I’m Finally Getting Knee Surgery…

If you or another bike polo player you know need help with medical bills related to polo, please send us a link to the crowdfunding campaign!
