It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a week since the start of the 2014 North American Hardcourt Bike Polo Championship. It feels like just yesterday Drew Thomas, Michael Fletcher, and I were going stir crazy at the Denver International Airport during our 4 hour layover. Alas, the fun has passed and we are stuck at home until the next tournament. I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way, so I’d like to help those who are the in same position as me.
Here are three hardcourt bike polo videos to help you get by until the next time you hit the court!
First, a short highlight video from the 2014 European Hardcourt Bike Polo Championship.
Second, here’s a exciting video from the 2014 Australasian Hardcourt Bike Polo Championship.
Finally, here is Mr. Do’s official video of the final from the 2014 North American Hardcourt Bike Polo Championship.
This short video by Mr. Do gives us a small taste of the excellent videos that are going to be coming from him of the North American Hardcourt Bike Polo Championships in the coming weeks. Not only does it do that, it gives us the chance to analyze the hit that Joey Halvorsen of The Beavers laid on Pete Abram of Portland United. It is very obvious that the hit from Brian Dillman on Pete, just prior to Joey’s hit, is a foul, but what do you think about Joey’s hit?
Some people say Joey was trying to dodge Pete to the best of his abilities as he played the ball and accidentally hit him causing Pete to do a soccer style flop trying to draw a penalty, while others feel that Joey maliciously hit Pete causing him to hit the ground and have what a medic on the scene diagnosed as whiplash.
You be the judge, is it a flop or a foul?
After an early morning flight, I made it back to Portland hungry, exhausted, and ready to do nothing all day but lay on my couch and watch Netflix. So if you want to be like me and do nothing all day (or if you just want to watch an awesome polo video), then here is a video of The Beavers taking the 2014 North American Hardcourt Bike Polo Championship over Portland United. I’m not sure who filmed this, but they are awesome for posting it so fast!
Bringing us another AMAZING polo video, Brendan McNamee of Blunt Films
shows us what hardcourt bike polo looks like slowed down to half time. Enjoy!

With less than two weeks until the 2014 North American Hardcourt Bike Polo Championship, the Mr. Do Video crew has been truing their camera, lubing their lenses, and practicing their pivot turn camera changes. With all of this prep, we are expecting a live stream better than we’ve ever seen in hardcourt bike polo history. This year, Mr. Do has teamed up with Fixcraft to bring us center court camera coverage so that each game will be easier to follow.
This new partnership has gotten Mr. Do very excited to show us what they are truly made of. To get all of the bike polo fans at home as stoked as they are for the live stream, they posted a fun little video giving all the info of the 2014 live stream.
